  • It's Cynebri. I wanted to apologize. If you don't want to talk, it's cool.

    • So I totally meant to respond to this earlier but things happened, and so...Anyway.

You don't really have anything to apologize to me for. I don't really feel like I would've had any right to be mad at you for the way things went (and I wasn't). I could've and should've handled things better and I am sorry for how things worked out. Mistakes were definitely made.

I'll be honest, I've been kind of worried about you a few times (because that's what I do: I game and I worry about things I have no control over) because of how things are going right now. I hope everything's okay.

    • It's alright, I really overreacted. You should have been angry, at least a little. I guess that just happened during a really dark period of my life. A lot was going wrong, then that happened. I think I took it out on you because you were the first person to give me a reason to.

I'm sorry if I worried you and I appreciate your concern. I'm doing much better. Not as well as I could be, but things continue to improve.

      Have you been okay?

        Loading editor
    • Well, I've gotta say, I appreciate the amount of trust you put in me. That was incredibly brave of you and I appreciate the honesty. Looking at it, there was probably not really a better way for that to have been explained and I appreciate it happened when it did and not at a later time. I don't really know of any way that could've come up, so I didn't really have a reason to be mad about it. I think it was frustrating for all parties involved, but shi gata ga nai. I'm sorry to have piled that on when you were already having other things going on. It never rains but when it pours, right?

I'm glad to hear things are at least on an upward swing, if not 100% better. For my part, I may or may not be about to make a really reckless choice and quit my job, which I hate, to go to college, but we'll see how that goes.

I'd be okay talking to you on Not the Wiki if you want. My Steam username changed to A Jaded Lizard actually about a month after things happened, but feel free to look me up if you want. Totally your call. Obviously.

I've gotta say, you're just about the last person I expected to hear from.

    • I was going to type out a big response, but I think it would be best if we do this over Steam.

  • "Reverted edits by 182.18.228.136 (talk | block) to last version by KLanders" - have you forgotten that Reiko/Ms. Mikami is the dead one? She was indirectly responsible for the calamity, and cause some if not all of Kouichi Sakakibara's schoolmates to went into an insane killing spree against Mei Misaki: http://another.wikia.com/wiki/Reiko_Mikami?oldid=29216

    • I understand that Reiko/Ms. Mikami is not an Antagonist, and Yes your correct Mr. Godzillafan93 but how come that:

Keiko Numata went insane and murdered some/most of the students over the loss of Ikuo Takabayashi.

Izumi Akazawa held a grudge and attempting to kill Mei Misaki over the loss of her brother and classmates and due to the Calamity's influence.

The Anime has an exclusive antagonistic role to both Tomohiko Kazami, Takako Sugiura and Yumi Ogura, whom they attacked Kouichi and Mei, over the loss of Yukari Sakuragi, Junta Nakao, and Atsushi Ogura...triggering their insanity.

    • In all three cases, this was due to the Calamity, not them being inherently bad people. The Calamity is as close as Another comes to having an antagonist.

    • Okay, I see what you're saying; the word you're looking for I think is actually "style" rather than "grammar." I don't really feel like each episode is long enough to justify a sub section, especially since characters like Mei, who are in every single one would end up with 13 different subtitles, but if you're just referring to the narrative style (present tense) I'm fine with that.

As for the script, it's not allowing me to add it; I'll have to go poke Wiki Central to get them to fix it.

  • Do you think there will be a new season?

      Loading editor
    • If the animation studio has an interest in one, maybe. The anime is different from the novel in a few key aspects (namely in who was important, and the fact Tomohiko dies in the anime), but then again, that doesn't necessarily preclude a new season if there's any interest in one.

  • I been seeing edits regarding the character's birthdays lately.  It's given me an idea.  How would each member of Class 3-3 celebrate their birthdays?

      Loading editor
    • Suppose it'd probably depend on the character.

Mei, I suspect, would be stuck somewhere with no one but her mom. Izumi would probably spend it with her friends. Naoya would probably wish he was spending it with Izumi...

The way I would see it. Should they all show up at each other's parties this is how each would go.

Mei's would be a mix between classy and uncanny valley.  Think the doll room but with food tables and guests and that fancy stuff she'd wear in her promotional art.

Izumi's would be one based around control.  Certain people sit here, certain food goes to this group.  That sort of thing.   But like you said she'd be among friends too

Kouichi would probably be one with the best food since he's some kind of master chef.

Nayoa and Yuuya would probably be the most normal if not rowdy house party style.  If the calamity doesn't kill them through alcohol poisoning, then they'd (Mei included, I just got a mental pic of her wasted.)  have a hell of a hangover.

  • Hello, what happend in the end of the novel? Kouichi left yomiyama like the life action?(or finish like anime) I read a little the wiki about what episode he is faithful to the novel, but i dont know exactly how is finished.

    • I dunno. I've always assumed Yousuke was still taking care of the Mikamis, even though he has no real blood ties to do so. Tami comments in most versions how loyal he's remained to his deceased wife; it's highly likely he and Reiko were both helping support them.

I like this idea, because it tends to paint Yousuke in a light other than what we get from not-necessarily-reliable-narrator Kouichi. How many of us at fifteen really understood everything our parents did? That would also explain why they took Kouichi in: it's a way to pay back Yousuke for carrying them, especially after Reiko's murder/death.

I don't know. I'd think they'd do it out of guilt over the loss of Ritsuko and Reiko.  I mean from what I've read about the Grandparents, the Grandfather especially, he didn't let Reiko get into Art University and judging by the way they acted in the story, he regrets every second of his past stict relationship with his daughters.

As for Tami's comment, it doesn't mean they let him take care of them.  It could just mean they are proud Ritsuko picked a loyal man to be her husband.  There have been many many stories real and fiction where the In Laws praise their son in law, but it's often shown to be an exxagaration of the real person, a complete lie or just praising the postives while neglecting the faults.

Also, just so you know, if you want to abbreviate Japanese, say JPN. "Jap" is a racial slur in English.
